Director of Maintenance

Required Skills & ExperienceFAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Minimum 5–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with leadership experience preferredExperience supporting aircraft from piston singles through turboprops and/or light jets preferred Familiarity with avionics systems and integration is a strong plus Experience with STC, PMA, or modification programs is highly desirable Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-department environmentJob DescriptionProvide leadership and oversight of all maintenance operations within the repair station Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations (Part 145) and company procedures Coordinate effectively with Avionics, Parts, Soloy, and Sales divisions to support overall company operations Manage maintenance personnel, including scheduling, workflow, and performance development Authority to hire, train, discipline, and develop maintenance personnel, and to shape department structure as needed Work closely with the Chief Inspector to maintain quality control and regulatory compliance Oversee maintenance planning, shop productivity, and turnaround times Support integration of avionics installations and upgrades within maintenance operations Collaborate with leadership on business growth, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives Maintain and update repair station manuals, procedures, and documentation Ensure training, certifications, and safety standards are consistently upheld Support NorthPoint’s STC and PMA programs, including Soloy and XP470 product linesCompensation: $80-,000 to $100,000 per year annual salary.
