POSITION: Front Desk SupervisorDEPARTMENT: HotelREPORTS TO: Hotel ManagerTOUR OF DUTY: VariesSUPERVISES: Front Desk ClerksGENERAL FUNCTION: The Front Desk Supervisor position assists the hotel manager in areas concerning the front desk. Assists in scheduling coverage and training staff.Duties And RepsonsibilitiesPerforms all duties in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner.Supervises and assists the workloads of the front desk clerks.Prepares and maintains employee schedules for the front desk, ensuring adequate coverage for each shift.Train front desk clerks in policies, procedures and demonstrate use of office equipment during team member orientation.Ensures communication between departments is open and hotel team members are together in a professional manner.Performs administrative tasks relating to personnel matters, prepares periodic reports and attends staff meetings.Sits in on any meeting where the hotel manager is unable.Performs other duties as necessary and assigned.EducationHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum QualificationsEighteen (18) years of age. Valid driver’s license.OtherPrevious related supervisory experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent guest service skills. Flexible availability. Must obtain non-gaming license upon hire.Physical RequirementsAbility to bend, twist, reach and carry up to fifty (50) pounds or more. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Exposure to weather conditions; occasional janitorial duties and shoveling snow. Ability to operate a golf cart.
