Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.Military encouraged to apply.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to classify, examine, and analyze accounting records; prepare related financial reports and statements for management; follow SOX compliance processes.Perform general accounting activities including preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedulesMaintain controls and processes in compliance with Sarbanes OxleyPrepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principlesConduct or assist in the documentation of basic accounting projects and financial statement relationshipsProvide financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budgetAccurately process dealer settlements, including reviewing and verifying payment details, commissions, and fees in accordance with contractual agreementsRecord facility revenue, create invoices, and payment application including follow up on past due balancesModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting requiredUp to two years’ experience in accounting or related field preferredIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsFamiliarity with Lawson or general ledger (GL) accounting software preferredKnowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) preferredStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong teamwork, problem solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team membersAdditional InformationTravelTravel required less than 5%Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsGeneral office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
