National Account Manager Job Description | Grocery & Alternative Channels  As a National Account Manager, you are ultimately responsible for managing our clients’ needs and expectations. You are the creator of specific key Retail account(s) with focus on grocery and alternative channels. nationally. This position requires experience and the following results: ·        Creating a path of current successful items in Mass Channel, to be ranged in the grocery/alternative channel’s·        Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, vision, passion·        Category management understanding. Able to identify voids in assortment, and work with manufacturer to source and create new items where these voids exist·        Must have a strong background in sales and achieving sales results·        Efficient yet detailed manager with excellent follow up skills·        Experienced with New Brand/item product launch Specific Responsibilities Include:Selling proven winning items into Grocery and Alternative channelsWorking with our Team Lead and support team who will assist in success of the programIdentifying voids and working with the client to create new items that fill a need of the consumerUse of your knowledge, contacts, and our internal teams’ contacts/resources to gain appointments as needed, with the list of retailersWin in Grocery channel with improved ranging of items on retailers’ shelfAbility to manage a support team, as the business growsSupply Chain understanding to assist with maintaining consistent flow of goodsWork cross functionally with other departments, as needed to support customer accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. Co-Develop annual plan to ensure clients sales and profit targets for prospective accounts is achieved Formulate quarterly sales development strategies to increase market share within accounts Work closely with client marketing to ensure development and implementation of customer category strategyAchieve (or exceed) key sales measures in the annual plan as business is gained Overall Continuous Improvement, identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability Customer Ownership Develop and manage customer relationship with buyers • Build key relationships across customers to ensure responsibilities can be accomplished Planning& Sales • Develop promotional strategy and execution plan (including trade budget management, range and space optimizations) • CLR Preparation and Leadership • Development of Sales Decks and Communication of Needs from Operations and Analytics • Create strategies to maximize sell through, profit, revenue and market share • Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing  Internal Expectations: • Weekly Reporting Digested and Identification of Action Items/Plan • Weekly Buyer and Replenishment Communication – Actionable or Informative • Identify and Correct Transportation Issues with Legacy team assistance • Conduct and/or receive timely reviews of sales, RMAs, returns & allowances (R&A), quotes, promotions, sell through, inventory management, forecasts, and other account activities that will impact financial results for the account(s) – with local team support.Internal Cross-Functional Alignment Developing a clear understanding of the client needs and expectations and co-developing the plan with key           cross-functional resources Work with Insights to develop annual plan and ongoing ways to drive category sales Communicating needs in a clear way consistent with roles and responsibilities Understand of who is working on what Keeping the team abreast of key projects and timelines Ensuring the team has ownership of key client and customer activities Ensuring the team understands and is delivering on expectations  Account Administration Ensure all expense are documented and invoiced Understanding/actioning Deduction and other AR Issues Ensure Customer Service/Fill Rate targets are achieved  General Maintain a safe and clean work environment Understand and follow company rules and regulations Perform all other duties as assigned and required Annual and Monthly Forecasting On-time Expense Reporting This position is preferred to be in office, however we are open to those living within 5 hours of the Bentonville, Ar. area. Must be able to be in office a few days a month.Salary range starts at 100k + bonus.
