Java with SAP PI/PO

Overview In this role you will design and implement data interfaces across SAP and non-SAP systems, translating business requirements into reliable integration solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to map data sources and configure SAP PI/PO components, while ensuring quality through thorough testing and production support. You’ll build reusable integration assets and document technical designs to meet client needs, contributing to scalable, performant data integration solutions. This role offers hands-on work with cutting-edge middleware in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze requirements and design data interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systemsMap data sources (JDBC, XML, flat files) to SAP IDOCs, RFCs, and ProxiesBuild and modify IFLOWS, ESR, and Integration Directory objects; monitor Runtime Workbench and send alertsPerform unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; conduct business simulationsProvide guidance on SAP PI/PO production support, performance optimization, and issue resolutionDevelop ETL processes aligned with designs/frameworks; create source-to-target mappings and runbooksProduce technical designs and deliverables; contribute to reusable solutions with technical teamsSupport production jobs and deploy new jobs to productionTroubleshoot development and operational problems; participate in system and integration testingDocument changes per IT EDI Change Management policies and procedures Key requirements7+ years of hands-on SAP PI/PO development/integration experienceB.S. in Business or Computer Science or equivalent work experienceProficiency in Java coding (mandatory)Experience with SAP NWDS, NW BPM, BRM is a plusKnowledge of data warehousing concepts; experience with PI under Integrations server, SLD, Integration Repository, and Integration DirectoryExperience with multiple data transfer methods (FTP with PGP, JDBC, SOAP, HTTP, JMS MQ)Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a teamKnowledge of UP or Agile software development methodologiesAbility to learn quickly and mentor othersWillingness to provide production support for existing and new jobsGood communication and presentation skillsTeam collaborationWillingness to mentor/cross-train peersSAP PI/PO development and integrationESR, Integration Repository, Integration DirectoryJDBC, XML, flat file data mapping
