Looper & Company is seeking a committed and experienced Director of Preconstruction for a full-time hybrid role based in Boone, NC, with flexibility for occasional remote work. The Director of Preconstruction will oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, including conceptual and detailed estimating, budgeting, and scheduling. Responsibilities include analyzing project plans, identifying cost-saving opportunities, coordinating with architects, engineers, and vendors, and assisting in bids and proposals to ensure successful project delivery. The role also involves managing preconstruction teams, reviewing contracts, and addressing client requirements to ensure optimal project outcomes. Qualifications Proficiency in preconstruction processes, including conceptual estimating, budgeting, and project schedulingExperience with analyzing construction plans, identifying cost-saving measures, and value engineeringStrong skills in team management, communication, and collaboration with architects, engineers, and subcontractorsProficient in construction management software and estimating toolsProven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectationsKnowledge of construction contracts, regulatory compliance, and industry standardsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 10 years of experience in preconstruction or a related role, with a focus on commercial or complex building projectsLEED or similar certification is a plusExceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project environments
