Opportunity: RN - MICU Job Details: - Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission form) - 13-week assignment length - Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed by facility - No call requirements - Patient ratio: 1:2 - Must have 3 years Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience, CVI experience recovering open hearts directly from OR - Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS - Preferred certification: TNCC - Current RN License eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri - May float to other stepdown units depending on staffing needs - Work with equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun - EMR system: EPIC - Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, suicidal ideations - Dress code: Black scrubs only, no hats, non-facility jackets/sweatshirts, or air pods - Night shift orientation occurs on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation - Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, significant bending and stooping Facility: This healthcare facility has been serving the South County area for more than 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
