This critical role will focus on the preparation and filing of property tax returns, managing property tax obligations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for our retail locations across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property tax, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and be capable of working independently and proactively to meet deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and file personal property tax returns accurately and timely by gathering and manipulating data using Microsoft tools.Manage property tax obligations, including coordinating, tracking, and processing payments.Review, monitor, and respond to inquiries from taxing jurisdictions regarding property taxes and provide support during audits.Assist in integrating property tax software in-house to streamline processes.Aid in forecasting property tax liabilities and reviewing assessments for accuracy.Identify opportunities for cost savings, including managing the appeals process for any discrepancies in assessments.Undertake special projects as assigned by the Property Tax Manager.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property tax or a similar role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret, and apply technical guidance to business situations.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines, changing priorities, and large volumes of returns.Ability to take initiative, execute independently, and proactively propose solutions.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to respond tactfully and courteously to various stakeholders.Benefits:Client offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional development of our employees, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Single plan is free.Retirement Planning and Profit Sharing.Employer-Paid Short/Long Term Disability Insurance.Employer-Funded Health Savings Account (HSA).Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Tuition Reimbursement and access to an in-house learning portal.Generous Paid Time Off and flexible work schedules to encourage work-life balance.
