Job DescriptionJob SummaryCEC Controls is looking for controls engineers who can perform the design of controls systems from start to finish, including troubleshooting, field startup and commissioning related to implementation in the automotive and manufacturing industries.Responsibilities:Performing Design of Automation control systems, requirements which will include:Review specifications and standard practicesEstablishing non-standard designs as requiredFollow internal and customer standards as requiredCreate system map layouts, sequence of operations, drawings packages, PLC logic and HMI screensSpecify Panel and field material by creating Electrical Bill of Material’s (EBM’s)Field duties and responsibilities include:Assisting in installation oversightStartup and Debug at customers facilitiesLaunch and Standby supportRequirements:Education: Relevant bachelor’s or associate degree in related engineering or technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree. 3+ years of industry experience working for a systems integrator; must include control panel and circuit design, non-standard designs, system map layouts, sequence of operations, reviewing cycle time, studies and dimension switch layouts, design packages, design logic, enter logic, and the design of Smart DisplaysKnowledge of System Architecture, including non-standard material, control panel power requirements and/or distributionCapable of reviewing the specifications and standard practices (internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications and scope of work)Technical knowledge and skills required:RSLogix 5, 5000RS NetworxDriveExecutive, DirveExplorerPanelBuilder PDS, 1400e, 32RSView Studio and Factory TalkTechnical knowledge desired:Technical knowledge desired:Ford NextGen or GVOSS standards, GM G12 standardsMicrosoft Office SuiteCapable of assisting with installation and debugging with no additional supportAbility to work independently and in a team atmosphereAbility to travelAuthorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship form CEC Controls.
