Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Electrician MechanicThe Maintenance Electrician Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment within a manufacturing or production environment. This role supports safe, efficient operations by ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, modify, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery, including pneumatic systems, electrical conduit, wiring, outlets, fixtures, transformers, panel boards, AC and DC motors, and relay/control equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Complete all required process and product documentation related to work performed.
Support equipment changeovers, setup, and operation of production machinery.
Maintain good housekeeping practices and assist with other duties as assigned.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
Work assigned shifts as required, including being on call when the plant is in operation.
Identify and resolve problems efficiently and collaborate effectively in team-based problem-solving situations.
Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of the metric system and AC/DC control circuits.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Strong basic math skills and experience working with computer hardware.
Forklift operator certification preferred.
Toolmaker skills are a plus.
Electrical training from a technical school or two-year college, or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician (required).
