This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure for telecommunication networks. This role involves creating detailed designs for fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cabling systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The OSP Designer participates in project planning meetings, creates project documentation, and identifies potential design issues to propose effective solutions. A strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, proficiency in CAD and GIS software, and excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for this position.Key Responsibilities:• Manage and draft fiber design using OSP Insight Desktop. Interpret CAD drawings, import data into OSP Desktop, and continue layouts for aerial and underground fiber routes to landing stations.• Oversee the scheduling and execution of fiber design projects, ensuring compliance with project timelines and standards.Hourly Pay: $45-$50/hrJob-Type: 12-month long contract with potential to extend or convertRemote Opportunity - Must Sit in the Following States: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, or UtahExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
