Remote Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians and custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our buildings, grounds, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and custodial staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support. Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of facilities, including buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness issues, and take appropriate action to address them promptly. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, and coordinate procurement as needed to ensure availability and efficiency. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules for building systems, equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime and prolong asset lifespan. Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation, and monitor performance to ensure compliance. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand facility needs and priorities, and provide recommendations and solutions to meet them effectively. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to facility maintenance and operations. Prepare reports and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance logs, and maintain accurate records.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management or related field is preferred. 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of building systems and operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and systems, with proficiency in using hand and power tools. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to facility maintenance.
