Position DescriptionThe Dawson County Attorney’s Office in Lexington, Nebraska, is seeking applications for a full-time Deputy County Attorney position. Interested persons must be licensed to practice law in the State of Nebraska. New graduates pursuing a Nebraska license are also encouraged to apply.DutiesThis position provides regular courtroom/trial experience and the opportunity to work closely with a group of seasoned attorneys. Primary duties will include:Criminal prosecution of adult felony and misdemeanor casesJuvenile law practice including all aspects of the County Attorney's obligations in juvenile court as well as child support dutiesAssigned on-call periods to answer after-hours legal questions from law enforcementHandle coroner mattersResumes will be accepted until the position is filled.
