Technical Writer

We are seeking a skilled *Technical Writer* to create and maintain technical documentation for our products and services. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and be able to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. *Responsibilities:* * Work with subject matter experts to understand technical products, services, and processes * Write and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date * Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance documentation * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets business requirements and technical specifications * Test documentation to ensure it is user-friendly and easy to understand * Continuously improve documentation by incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in technical writing *Required Skills/Experience* * Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, communications, or a related field Proven experience as a technical writer or similar role * Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Strong attention to detail * Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Requires experience in Microsoft Office Applications *Preferred/Not Required* * Experience with MicroSoft SharePoint Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and XML * Experience working in a Health and Human Services environment * Experience working on large, complex Information Technology project with multiple product owners Job Types: Contract, Full-time Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: * Jackson, MS 39202: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: * Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: * Microsoft SharePoint: 3 years (Preferred) * HTML: 3 years (Preferred) * CSS: 3 years (Preferred) * XML: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
