About Us:Power Plant Gym is a strength-focused, body-positive, community-driven gym in Aston, PA where people come to lift heavy, feel welcome, and have fun. Founded in 2015, we’ve grown into a gym that values inclusivity, good vibes, and serious strength training, especially powerlifting and strongman. We coach everyday people to do badass things, and we believe strength is for every body. Whether it's a deadlift PR, their first sandbag carry, or just showing up consistently, we’re here for it all.About You:You know how to coach a barbell lift. You’ve taught someone how to hip hinge. You can coach someone how to brace their core. If someone says “high bar or low bar?” you know what that means. You get the idea. You care deeply about your clients and want to help them get stronger in a way that works for them. You’re excited to work with people of different sizes, identities, and backgrounds. You value technique, community, and a little bit of grit. You Should Apply If You...Have previous experience coaching barbell lifts (squat, bench, and deadlift are non-negotiable).Have a valid personal training certification or similar credential.Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.Want to coach both small group strength sessions and 1-on-1 personal training. Can cover some open gym shifts and handle light cleaning duties. Are comfortable with basic computer stuff and open to learning our systems. Can work part-time hours mostly in the evenings two to four days per week (some scheduling flexibility + optional weekends).Have CPR/First Aid certification (or can get it before starting). Are open to growing with us. We respect all types of movement (calisthenics are rad, yoga is great, cardio is cool too), but this role is for someone who has actual experience coaching the big 3: squat, bench, and deadlift. This is a strength coach job, not a general fitness job.The Vibe:We're a small team that gives a damn. We coach hard, support each other, and laugh a lot in between. We coach a lot of folks into their first powerlifting and/or strongman competitions, and we also work with a lot of folks who are just trying to get stronger and feel their best. Our members span a wide range in ages. If you’re into high-fives, progressive overload, and helping folks feel at home in the gym, you’ll probably like it here.Compensation:Coaching pays at $28 - 33 per hour, and open gym pays at $16 per hour.
