A full-time opportunity for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) serving K-12 students is currently available. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple schools within a district, working on an itinerant basis. The position is ideal for dedicated educators ready to make a meaningful impact by enhancing accessibility and learning outcomes for students with visual impairments.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12.Travel throughout the district to serve multiple school sites on an itinerant schedule.Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).Utilize assistive technology and specialized teaching strategies to support student learning and independence.Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed. Qualifications:Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.Ability and willingness to travel throughout the district.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Open to candidates currently out of state who are ready to interview.
