POSITION TITLE: Fabric R&D Associate ManagerREPORTS TO: Director of FabricLOCATION: New York, NYJOB TYPE: Full-Time, Hybrid: 3-5 days in office based on calendar POSITION SUMMARY: The Fabric R&D Associate Manager is an integral role in the seasonal development process, reporting to the Director. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ordering & Material ManagementFollowing from initial header selection through production, handoff for all solid & novelty fabricsAttend style handoff meetings with apparel design teamReviews trials/SRS submits to set bulk quality standardsIn partnership with the Director, approves goods for SRS shipmentFacilitate shipment of orders between mills and factoriesAttends mill appointments and fabric shows as calendar allows Data Entry & Chart UpkeepSetting up new materials / assigning AO#Aid in overseeing FDS receipt and chart updatesHelping to keep the fabric budget up to date Miscellaneous TasksMaintaining core fabric library with the teamTaking fabric photos for design and merch visual decks ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:2-4 years of previous experienceAbility to multitask and maintain calendar deadlinesWorking knowledge of material construction and textile scienceGeneral experience in PLM / data systemsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), familiar in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) BENEFITS:$75,000 - $80,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position.
