Linux Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:System Deployment and Configuration:Deploy and configure Linux servers, both physical and virtualCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions for mission-critical applicationsAutomation and Orchestration:Utilize Ansible to automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deploymentStreamline repetitive tasks, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our infrastructurePerformance Optimization and Monitoring:Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize Linux servers for peak efficiencyImplement monitoring tools and alerts to proactively address issuesSecurity and Compliance:Harden Linux systems against security threats, including vulnerability assessments and patch managementEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practicesDisaster Recovery Planning:Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systemsTest and validate recovery procedures to minimize downtime during emergenciesTraining and Support:Train and mentor other IT personnel on Linux administration and best practicesProvide technical support to resolve Linux-related issuesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ yearsof hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer or System AdministratorProficiency inAnsiblefor automation and orchestrationStrong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environmentPowered by JazzHR7ecwRON4Xn
