Assembler - 1st Shift
Job Title: Assembler
Location: Conyers
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with some mandatory overtime on Saturdays.
Compensation: $17.50 per hour, paid weekly every Friday.
Position Overview:
Client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble fabricated parts and components, ensuring all products meet the highest quality, safety, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble sub-assemblies and install accessory components and materials, including wiring basic electrical connections per diagrams and instructions.
Perform tasks in compliance with the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Client’s Code of Conduct.
Inspect products to ensure they meet quality, engineering, and customer specifications.
Operate a variety of hand tools, including electrical and pneumatic power tools, with skill and care.
Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the correct materials, components, and assembly sequence.
Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products using lifting equipment when available.
Complete and maintain electronic and paper-based documentation, including checklists, blueprints, barcodes, and shipping materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
Support a team environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must have 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job diagrams.
Strong basic math and reading comprehension skills.
Proficient in reading and using a tape measure.
Basic English language skills (reading, speaking, understanding).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods (up to 100% of the workday).
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently and more than 50 lbs with assistance.
Ability to climb and maintain balance as required.
Manual dexterity to use tools and handle materials effectively.
Visual acuity to inspect products and ensure accuracy.
