The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills.PurposeTo build the human interface to intelligent engineering.You will design and develop the front-end and full-stack experiences that make advanced automation, AI copilots, and data-driven tools intuitive, trusted, and indispensable for engineers across the Controls Alliance.This role turns powerful systems into usable systems — ensuring that innovation is not only technically brilliant but genuinely adopted.You will help create the user-facing layer of the 5× productivity ecosystem, including:Web applications for engineering tools and configuratorsInterfaces for AI copilots, validation engines, and workflow automationDashboards and operational views integrated with Power BI and FabricConsistent UI frameworks and component libraries shared across toolsSecure, responsive, and high-performance experiences used daily by engineersYour work will be seen, touched, and relied upon — every single day.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild Intuitive, High-Quality User ExperiencesDesign and implement modern, responsive web interfaces that make complex engineering workflows simple and clear.Translate abstract system behavior, AI outputs, and validation results into understandable, actionable experiences.Partner with UI/UX designers to implement design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards.Develop Robust Full-Stack ApplicationsBuild full-stack features using modern frameworks (React, Angular, or similar) backed by scalable APIs and services.Integrate front-end applications with automation engines, copilot services, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration layers.Ensure reliability, performance, and security across the stack.Enable Platform Consistency and ReuseContribute to shared UI components, layout patterns, and interaction models used across the innovation ecosystem.Implement API contracts and front-end service abstractions that support composability and long-term maintainability.Follow architectural standards and guardrails defined by the Principal Architect.Collaborate Deeply Across DisciplinesWork closely with Senior Software Tools Architects, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Controls SMEs to align user experience with system intent.Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and rapid POCs that move concepts from idea to production.Build for Adoption and TrustInstrument applications with telemetry and usage analytics to understand adoption, friction points, and performance.Iterate based on real user feedback from early adopters and value-stream pilots.Help ensure tools feel reliable, predictable, and trustworthy — especially where AI is involved.Metrics of SuccessAdoption and active usage of tools (DAU/MAU)Reduction in task completion time and user frictionConsistency of UI/UX across the tool ecosystemPerformance, responsiveness, and stability of applicationsPositive feedback from engineers and early adoptersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.4+ years of experience building full-stack or front-end-heavy applications in production environments.Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks (React preferred), and REST or GraphQL APIs.Experience integrating with backend services, authentication/authorization, and data visualization components.Familiarity with cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.Ability to work effectively in distributed, cross-regional teams.Bonus SkillsExperience building UX for complex technical or engineering systemsFamiliarity with AI-powered interfaces, copilots, or data-driven dashboardsExposure to Power BI embedding or Fabric-backed applicationsPay Range: $70,000 - $90,000Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.Work RequirementsWe offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies.
