Chart documentation and case management services related to client treatment will be accomplished in accordance with all agency policies and procedures.Schedule Details: Part-TimeLocation: Newark, DEProgram: Drug & Alcohol/DUI Treatment ProgramPay Rate: $19+/Hour Billable RateJob Functions:Possess and apply knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment and assessment principles and philosophiesComplete substance abuse assessments and stabilization services as neededMaintain effective and efficient communication with direct supervisor and other administrative staff as required, in a timely and comprehensive mannerMaintain personal compliance with all training requirements and personnel documentation standardsComplete all personally required training as per Professional Development PlanSubmit to Human Resources in a timely manner copies of all required documentation regarding degrees, licenses, certifications, clearances, and formal trainingMaintain professional certifications and/or licensure and, when applicable, in the designated state(s)Possess and apply knowledge of all laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and agency policies and procedures governing the services performedPerform substance abuse treatment as defined by the program description, and best practice standards and in full compliance with licensure standardsPossess and apply knowledge of the standards and ethical principles of the best practice of drug and alcohol assessment and treatmentProvide quality services based on established best practice principles of careMaintain quality documentation of service deliveryEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, payers, community support service representatives, agency personnel, and the general publicEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with area drug and alcohol treatment facilities and hospitalsWork within a group to develop internal systems to improve or ensure quality servicesParticipate in agency committees to develop and implement program/service enhancementProvide the full spectrum of clinically indicated services and the supporting documentationProvide all authorized client services and provide supporting documentation for re-authorizations, as necessary, in a timely mannerSubmit accurate and timely payroll and billing documentationWork collaboratively with other treatment professionalsDevelop and implement treatment plansProvide crisis assessment and stabilization services as necessaryPossess and apply knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment and assessment principles and philosophiesProvide direct services relevant to program requirementsConduct all scheduled individual and group sessions as dictated by client needs and program requirementsComplete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summariesMonitor service effectiveness and make modifications to services based on supervisory and/or consultative feedbackParticipate in all required individual and peer supervision, as well as all applicable program staff meetingsComplete data entry and prepare clinical chartsMinimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field or a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent AND Experience OR Licensure/Certification requirementsExperience: Five (5) years of documented clinical experience working in the field of substance abuse treatmentLicensure/Certification Requirements: Full certification by a nationally recognized body in addiction counselingRequired Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion listNote: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and ExperienceWhat’s in it for you?
