Development Program Manager (Q-Systems: Connectivity)
Overview
In this role you lead Q-Systems connectivity across multiple data center campuses, guiding design, pre-construction and construction efforts. You collaborate daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors and Operations staff to ensure systems meet design standards. You drive network infrastructure deployment aligned with tenant leases and project schedules, and you provide executives with clear program updates. You help shape scalable development plans and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to advance QTS’s digital infrastructure leadership.

ResponsibilitiesLead design, pre-construction and construction activities for a given project within Q-SystemsCoordinate with network infrastructure and technology teams to meet facility needsManage port schedules and review designs for compliance with system standards and Basis of DesignCreate and communicate development program and project status for executive reviewsImplement multi-phased site development plans and update campus master plansWrite scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning and support procurement and cost estimatesEvaluate pricing proposals for design, construction and commissioning servicesEstablish project schedules and manage teams to on-time completionBuild relationships with key stakeholders and represent Q-Systems in relevant meetingsEnsure project implementations align with approved design documents and QTS standards
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or Construction Management OR equivalent experience8-10+ years delivering mission-critical data center facilities8-10+ years managing technology design, implementation and project managementProficiency with Microsoft Office; PowerPoint for executive updates; Excel for budgetsUS Citizenship requiredAbility to travel up to 50% (2–3 days every other week)strong written and verbal communicationexcellent interpersonal skillsteam player with cross-functional collaborationdesign of technology systems for data centers or large-scale tech environmentsproject management for large-scale projectsknowledge of industry standards and Basis of Design documents
