Translation Project Manager

If you require accessibility assistance or accommodation for a disability at any point, let us know by emailing inquiries@Haalufausa.com.ResponsibilitiesOversee the coordination, execution, and quality control of all translation and localization activities to ensure accurate, culturally appropriate, and accessible communications across English and Spanish audiences.Interface with internal and external stakeholders within our client's organization to write and edit customer-facing communications in both English and Spanish, coordinate with the Procurement team to develop translation solicitations, manage contracts, and ensure vendor compliance with our client's quality and performance standards; issue translation solicitations, manage the procurement process, and coordinate the translation process using professional translation services, performing final quality checks.Create and manage specialized internal language review teams for top translated languages, including recruitment, testing, and retention.Update and manage communications and terminology standards in the top translated languages for our client; work with staff to ensure all customer deliverables are 100% accurate and on time, and provide linguistic support when needed. Interact with customers for customer-facing events in English and Spanish.Assist with preparing correspondence and other written materials for internal and external distribution; provide support to the office and assist other special projects and team members as needed.Collaborate closely with project staff to meet deadlines, ensure accuracy, and provide linguistic support during customer-facing events in both English and Spanish. Support the preparation of correspondence, reports, and other documents for internal and external audiences, contributing to a unified, accessible, and multilingual communication strategy across the organization.RequirementsProject management experience, preferably in a large organizational setting.Broad, foundational concepts, values of customer service, customer events, and customer communication.Strong understanding and knowledge of public transit terminology; high proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Illustrator, MS Project, and SharePoint are a plus.Bilingual in Spanish required – must read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.Bachelor's Degree, certificate, or similar in translation studies, Spanish studies, linguistics, communications, public administration, social sciences, or related fields.Minimum of five years of experience in project management, preferably in a large organizational setting.Certified interpreter and/or translator – documentation should indicate the certifying assessment body (ILR, ATA, etc.), any subject matter expertise, the proficiency level, specific language combinations, and proof of valid certification.Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to manage and lead projects. Fluent in Spanish with strong Spanish writing and grammar skills, including knowledge of typographical conventions and regional variations.Ability to deduce complex information into simple customer-friendly materials and serve as an interpreter as needed in community events, including those with minority, ethnic, and religious groups.Knowledge of and experience with integrating/teaching CAT tools, translation memories, or translation workflow to new users.Can work under pressure, translate complex information into simple materials, serve as interpreter, and understand social groups and diversity issues.Additional InformationStandard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. Temporary personnel may be required to work six (6) hours or more. Overtime in excess of forty (40) hours in one week is considered overtime work; all overtime must be approved by the COTR in advance.
