Spray Technician (4104066)

No experience necessary.* The position is for a spray technician, applying chemical for insect, disease and vegetation control with both truck mounted and backpack sprayers Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Eighteen (18) years of age - Valid Oregon driver's license to drive company vehicle to various job sites Preferred (not required): - Pesticide Apprenticeship license - Commercial pesticide applicator license issued by Department of Agriculture Employer Notes: - On the job training. Pesticide Apprentice License is required within 60 days of hire date. Study material for test is provided. - The ideal applicant will have a positive attitude, takes pride in professional appearance and has dependable attendance - No smoking at worksites and in employers' vehicles - DMV records check. Job Duties: - Apply, mix, and load pesticides to landscapes as defined by the program details for residential and commercial properties; for insect, disease and vegetation control with both truck mounted and backpack sprayers - Complete written records for work orders - Clean equipment daily - Refill supplies - Light maintenance on equipment - Regularly lift/carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. - Perform any other duties as assigned - Complete documentation, read manuals written in English. Communicate with stakeholders who speak English. Hours: - Full-time / day shift; thirty-five (35) or more hours per week depending on the employers need - Generally, schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional work on Saturday; employer will give advance notice Pay / Benefits: - $18 to $21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications - 100% medical, dental and vision for employee.
