Location: Elkhart, INJob Type: Temp-to-PermHourly pay: 30–45 hour / OT 1.5Eligibility RequirementsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipMust be local to the Elkhart, IN areaPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Technician performs preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance, and restores, repairs, or replaces faulty or inoperative equipment as needed.Essential FunctionsAssemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and apparatusTroubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipmentConstruct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specificationsRead and interpret electrical and electronic blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsAdvise management on continued use of unreliable or unsafe equipmentPerform and document calibrations on electrical equipmentTune drives on various equipment to optimize performanceParticipate in weekend on-call rotation for facility coverageSafety ResponsibilitiesFollow all plant and departmental safety rulesOperate all equipment and tools safelyComplete non-routine safety evaluations for irregular tasksTake responsibility for maintaining a safe work environmentPerform all assigned tasks in a safe and compliant mannerQualificationsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferredMinimum of 2+ years of experience as an electrical technicianExperience operating forklifts (electric and gas), scissor lifts, and JLG aerial equipment preferredSkills & AbilitiesTechnical knowledge of fabrication, welding, and equipment modificationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to identify equipment issues and perform maintenance independentlyEffective communication and teamwork skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (spreadsheets and databases)Core CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communicationOrganizational skills and attention to detailCritical thinking and problem-solving abilityPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetTechnical aptitudeAs part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
