Grow Lead (Cultivation & Processing)Location: Washington, DC Department: Cultivation & Production Employment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewThe Grow Lead oversees day-to-day cultivation and post-harvest operations within a licensed Washington, DC medical production facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring the consistent growth, harvest, and processing of high-quality product — including plant cultivation, trimming, drying, packaging, pre-roll production, and vape filling. The Grow Lead manages scheduling, supervises staff, and coordinates with regulatory authorities during inspections or audits, ensuring full compliance with District of Columbia regulations and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and participate in daily plant care, including watering, pruning, training, and nutrient administration.Lead and schedule cultivation and processing staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to standard operating procedures.Oversee all phases of cultivation: propagation, vegetation, flowering, harvest, drying, curing, and trimming.Manage post-harvest activities including weighing, sorting, packaging, pre-roll production, and vape filling operations.Monitor plant health, environmental conditions, and nutrient programs; identify and correct issues promptly.Maintain accurate records of cultivation data, plant movements, inventory, and production metrics.Ensure compliance with all DC ABCA regulations and internal tracking requirements.Coordinate with regulatory inspectors and auditors during on-site visits to ensure operational readiness.Implement and uphold quality control standards across cultivation and packaging operations.Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yields, efficiency, and product consistency.Collaborate with Green Grow management to plan production schedules and meet company goals.Enforce safety and sanitation standards throughout the cultivation and processing areas.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or Agriculture preferred.3–5 years of experience in commercial cultivation or processing, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of controlled environment agriculture, plant physiology, and nutrient management.Understanding of post-harvest workflows, including drying, curing, and packaging.Experience managing or assisting in pre-roll or vape product production is highly desirable.Excellent organizational, scheduling, and leadership skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compliance documentation.Must be at least 18 years old with a valid state-issued ID and the ability to pass all required background checks and DC ABCA training.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of DC medical cultivation and manufacturing regulations.Familiarity with automated irrigation, climate control, and tracking systems (e.g., METRC or equivalent).Proficiency in data management, production tracking, and quality assurance systems.Strong communication and leadership abilities with a focus on mentorship and accountability.Commitment to professional development and continuous learning in cultivation and processing best practices.Work Schedule & ConditionsFull-time, on-site role requiring flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.Must have reliable transportation to and from the facility.Must be willing and able to work at heights of up to 10–15 feet above ground using ladders or lift platforms.Physical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on position that requires:Standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 40 lbs) for extended periods.Manual dexterity and coordination for handling plant material and equipment.Ability to maintain balance and work safely at elevated heights.Working in greenhouse or indoor environments with varying humidity and temperatures.
