Accounts Payable Manager

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing the accounts payable function and ensuring accurate and timely processing of bills and payments. This person will be a key member of the finance organization, creating and owning the Accounts Payables function (“AP”) at Zeitview and reporting to Senior Accounting Manager. This person will implement new processes and process improvements in AP, employee travel, and expense reporting. They will also maintain vendor relationships, and eventually oversee a team of AP professionals.
Responsibilites:
Player / coach who will build and oversee the Payables, T&E, and expense reporting function.
Develop scalable processes and policies to support department goals and key metrics
Analyze and assess AP workflows, transactions, processes, and reports and institute new company policies, procedures, and technological solutions as needed
Create and implement vendor onboarding and vendor vetting processes, as well as the current AP process to fit in a well-functioning Procure to Pay process
Maintain and continuously improve the travel and procurement platform Navan, achieve broad employee T&E policy compliance
Refine and execute the weekly payment process
Cultivate and maintain a “bird’s eye view” of company expenses in service of proactively identifying opportunities to reduce spend
Own and optimize the annual 1099 reporting of vendor payments
Monitor all AP emails, ensure everything received is processed timely
Create and implement departmental expense dashboards for director and executive reporting
Provide Accounting support related to prepaid and fixed asset schedules
Support Accounting to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable, field reporting requests related to the same
Devise and prepare regular reports and analysis related to accounts payable activities, providing insights as needed, including global weekly expected cash outflows
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to accounts payable activities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner and maintaining vendor data
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls related to accounts payable processes
Overcommunicate project progress with all stakeholders in different locales, time zones and cultures, as needed
Proactively collaborate with other departments including People, Sales, Ops, Product, Engineering to resolve issues and obtain information necessary for processing AP
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA a plus
Experience managing outsourced accounting staff in different time zones
Several years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
Experience with accounts payable software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and T&E software (e.g., Navan, Concur, Ramp)
Strong ability to work collaboratively and overcommunicate with colleagues at all levels of the company
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Certifications viewed favorably:
