Join us on a journey of academic excellence and community spirit.Job Information:Position: Occupational TherapistLocation: Multi-Assigned, Department of Exceptional Student ServicesWork Year: 175 Days, 151 Student Contact DaysSpecialists must participate in New Teacher Orientation as a condition of employmentSalary Range: $65,946-$118,516 ($65,946-$80,966 for external candidates dependent on experience and education)FLSA Classification: ExemptJob Summary:Occupational therapists in Pueblo School District 70 provide services for students receiving special education who need direct or indirect school-based occupational therapy services as determined by the IEP team. Work involves evaluating students to determine need for occupational therapy; developing appropriate therapy programs, including routines for classroom and home adaptation; and providing therapy to students. Services include direct service and/or consultation with school staff, families, medical personnel, community agencies, and others as needed. Employee is responsible for documenting planning and treatment activities, preparing reports of students' progress, and consulting with parents and classroom teachers. Employee is also responsible for modifications of equipment and/or environment and in-service training. Problems that arise in the treatment program are expected to be resolved independently.
