Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionResponsible for greeting customers, scheduling appointments, receiving/routing telephone calls, verifying patient information, & collecting payments.Captures/records vital signs: blood pressure; weight; height; heart rate; temperature; respiration; O2 saturation.Updates patient medical history; weight changes; surgeries; medications; diagnoses; allergies; concerns; births; deaths; family medical history.Follows nursing process for assessments, planning, intervention, & evaluation, including physical/psychosocial needs of patients.Practices within scope/standards of care.Performs general nursing care; vital signs, immunizations, wound care, administration of medications/treatments, and assists with clinical procedures, under the supervision of the physician.Assists with clinical procedures: prepares instruments; seals/labels specimen samples; performs wound care including applying/removing bandages, cleansing, flushing, applying medication; suture removal; and immunizations.Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.Requirements Education/Experience:High School graduate or equivalency.Medical Assistant Certification/Registration and/or related experience required. Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.Demonstrated computer skills.
