Maintenance Coordinator Parts- 8 am-5 pm (M-F $26.25/hr )
Who we are looking for:We are currently searching for a Material Handler I to be based out of Weatherford, TX. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The idea candidate coordinates with the PM crew for preventative maintenance planning and execution. Works closely with the Maintenance Clerk to ensure timely entry of completed work orders, parts consumed, and processing of maintenance reports.What you’ll do:Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planningConducts field walk downs to identify and document job requirements.Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of proposed workMakes safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures available to employees.Ensures that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the job planEstimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required performing the taskPlans jobs with appropriate level of detail for the given skilled trades workforceProcures equipment and specialized tools required to perform workGathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawingsWrites clear and concise work proceduresDetermines and arranges for parts required to perform the work (when no expediter exists)Responsible for equipment and repair parts data entry and management.Ensures all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished.Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvementStrong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and initiative.Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.Basic electrical knowledge.Ability to lift 70 lbs.What you’ll bring:Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes.Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 70 pounds unassistedHigh school diploma, or equivalent is preferredWithin 3 months, you’ll:Complete any required trainingHave developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.Plans parts for all projects to increase “wrench time” and maximize efficiencyCompiles information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades – clearly communicates with skilled trades regarding critical steps in the processPrints and delivers work orders to the skilled trades in conjunction with the weekly work schedule.Upon completion of jobs, communicates with maintenance techs regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficientCoordinates priority setting with the management team – places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of prioritiesKeeps bills of materials current Accurately measures the maintenance backlog in its various forms and continually maintains not less than 2 weeks’ worth of ready backlog at all times.Atkore is a five-time Great Place to Work®-certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills,seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
