This is a highly visible, hands on leadership role responsible for both executing day-to-day accounting operations and building the financial infrastructure needed to support a capital intensive, high growth business.You'll work directly with the CEO and executive team while leading a team of two accounting professionals. This is an opportunity to step into a role where you can influence strategy, build processes, and drive meaningful organizational impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assetsOwn month end, quarter end, and year end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPrepare and deliver financial statements and internal management reportingOversee cost accounting, including infrastructure, energy usage, and equipment depreciationDevelop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures for compliance and scalabilityPartner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategyCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agenciesMonitor cash flow, liquidity, and financing in a capital-intensive environmentEvaluate and implement accounting systems and process improvementsBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting teamQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilityExperience in manufacturing, energy, or other asset heavy industries preferredStrong knowledge of financial reporting and internal controlsExperience with ERP systems, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skillsProven ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilitiesCompensation & Benefit sBase Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 (DOE)Bonus opportunityHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off + HolidaysWhy This RoleJoin a privately owned, growth focused company where you'll have direct access to decision makers and the autonomy to shape the accounting function.
