The HVAC/R Refrigeration Testing Technician plays a key role in the manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance of industrial HVAC units. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot complex systems, ensure performance standards, and collaborate directly with engineers and production teams to deliver high-quality products that customers can trust. ResponsibilitiesAssemble, test, and troubleshoot industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems during after the manufacturing process.Ensure all refrigeration components (compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, etc.) are correctly installed and functioning.Perform system charge, leak detection, and pressure testing in compliance with EPA and industry regulations.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues before units are shipped to customers.Work with engineers to improve product design, efficiency, and manufacturability.Maintain detailed documentation of system performance tests, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.Follow all company safety protocols and industry best practices for handling refrigerants and high-voltage systems.Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure units meet performance and reliability standards.Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.QualificationsHands-on experience with industrial HVAC and refrigeration system assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of refrigeration components and system operation.Skilled in system charging, leak detection, and pressure testing following EPA and industry standards.Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.Collaborative mindset—work with engineers and production teams to improve design and efficiency.Strong documentation skills for testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.Commitment to safety when handling refrigerants and high-voltage systems.Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining clean tools and workspaces.High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC/R or refrigeration certifications are a plus.Benefits & PerksPaid holidays and paid time off (PTO)Health, dental, and vision insurance plan optionsCompany-paid life insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchClear paths for career growth and advancement!
