Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community. We have an opening for a Maintenance Building Superintendent to work Full Time.
Lakeview's Maintenance Building Superintendent is responsible for all maintenance in the building or area on the Lakeview Village campus assigned. General duties include but are not limited to handling all maintenance service and repairs in the area of plumbing, electrical, appliances, painting, carpentry, heating and air conditioning and other equipment or systems in this area. The superintendent is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance-related items meet state regulation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the Maintenance Engineer to ensure equipment is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
Inspects assigned areas of responsibility on a regular basis, to ensure that the facility and equipment are maintained in accordance with established policies, procedures and warranties.
Assists in developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program for licensed areas.
Assists in security needs of the facility as directed.
Maintains or assists in an effective preventive maintenance program of cleaning, maintaining facility equipment, etc., for all areas of assigned building.
Ensures that all appliance/equipment are in working order including but not limited to resident beds, wheelchairs, and nurse call systems.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain an adequate level of required maintenance and equipment supplies to perform job duties.
Ensures that outside contracted or warranty services are properly completed or supervised in accordance with contracts or work orders.
Troubleshoots and assists other members of the maintenance department with necessary repairs as well as installation of new systems or projects. Helps the Grounds and Remodeling departments when necessary.
Maintains plumbing fixtures and drains by rodding, cleaning, and plunging. Cleans and rebuilds plumbing traps and strainers.
Installs and repairs doors (including entrance, closet, and garage), windows, screens, locks, and other related fixtures.
Checks all lighting in and around the building regularly, replacing bulbs, making necessary repairs or cleaning measures to fixtures. Repairs various types of electrical cords.
Repairs walls and ceilings by painting, repairing wallpaper, patching drywall, spraying acoustical texture, replacing ceiling tiles, and reattaching trim.
Services and repairs exhaust fans.
Assists in snow and ice removal from streets, parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, porches, walkways, and other heavily traversed areas by using snow blowers, shovels, ice scrapers, and a vehicle equipped with attachments. Spreads salt and ice melt on affected areas before and after snowfall.
Repairs brick or concrete work as needed.
