Local to Fairfax, VA is required.Successful candidates will have work experience in higher education and be driven by the mission of education. This is a contract role.ResponsibilitiesLocal to Fairfax, VAProvide strategic leadership and oversight for the university's Salesforce product ecosystem across Student Success, Admissions, and Marketing.Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, ensuring alignment, accountability, and delivery excellence.Own and govern the enterprise product roadmap, driving prioritization decisions aligned with institutional goals and strategic initiatives.Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and resolve competing priorities across departments and stakeholders.Establish and maintain product governance frameworks, including intake, prioritization, release management, and performance tracking.Champion organizational change management to ensure successful adoption of new features, enhancements, and process improvements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceGenerally 3-5 years experience in roles with multiple direct reports while working with executive leadership developing technology roadmaps understanding and advocating for stakeholder needs and holding decision-making authority for product developmentDemonstrated experience in higher education environments with deep understanding of university operations student lifecycle and institutional processesExperience managing enterprise software platforms and complex technical implementationsExperience with Salesforce Education Cloud Marketing Cloud and/or Service Cloud implementationsExperience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex multi-stakeholder initiativesDemonstrated understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities limitations and best practicesKnowledge of CRM systems data integration and enterprise software ecosystemsFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and product management toolsProven track record of developing and executing successful product strategiesDemonstrated analytical skills with experience using data to drive product decisionsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiencesUnderstanding of user experience design principles and user research methodologiesPreferred SkillsExperience with change management and organizational transformation initiativesPrevious experience implementing or managing Salesforce platforms in higher education settingsKnowledge of student information systems learning management systems and other higher education technologiesPay range Contractor rates begin at $80+/hourThe listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location.
