Ramp Agent
We are looking for seasonal help from April 1st, 2026- October 31st, 2026, with potential to transition to year-round at the end of the season.Responsibilities :The safe boarding of customers and luggage onto aircraft and monitoring movements of planes while on the groundCommunicating with pilots, operations and ticket agents in a clear and concise mannerCommunicating with TSA and the local LEO concerning the security of flights and passengersLoading and off loading of passengers in a safe and courteous wayAccurate and clear marshalling of aircraft with good hand signalsKnowledge of emergency procedures and handling of hazardous materialsAccurate communication via radio to all pilots, operations and fellow employeesKnowledge of SIDA areas and ability to challenge unknown personsKnowledge of firearm proceduresMaintaining customer relationsSafe operation of ground equipmentAbility to carry out de-ice proceduresAccurate addition of baggage weightDrive the passenger shuttle bus, if applicable to stationAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:Airline work experience preferredAirline reservation system experience preferredMust be at least 18 years oldMust hold a high school diploma or equivalentIf location requires any type of driving such as baggage delivery, fueling, etc., applicant must hold and maintain a driver’s license valid in that locationMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Basic computer skills requiredExcellent communication and excellent customer service skills requiredAbility to interact effectively with othersAbility to work independently and adapt to changing work prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writingFlexibility of schedule is a mustThis position will often require working nights, weekends and holidaysMust exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
