This role is pivotal for advancing the data analysis and research tools used by quantitative analysts. It offers an exciting chance to contribute directly to high-impact trading strategies and work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the financial technology sector. Key ResponsibilitiesEnhance and maintain existing research frameworks and develop new analytical tools using Python and C++Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to understand their technical requirements and provide effective solutionsImplement and optimise algorithms within a fast-paced, iterative development environmentSupport the automation of workflows, including scripting and task schedulingIntegrate statistical libraries and data processing tools such as Numpy, Pandas, and Polars to improve data analysis capabilitiesContribute to the development of infrastructure supporting both equities and equity derivatives tradingEssential Skills & ExperienceA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field; a Master's qualification is advantageousExtensive practical experience (minimum three years) in Python development within a production environmentStrong knowledge of C++ programmingFamiliarity with statistical computing libraries, especially Numpy, Pandas, and PolarsProven problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a collaborative, high-pressure environmentExperience with scripting languages like Bash and workflow management toolsGood understanding of equities markets and derivatives tradingDesirable Skills & Additional ExperienceExposure to low-latency programming and hardware acceleration techniquesKnowledge of FPGA technology and machine learning applicationsExperience working in distributed teams across multiple geographiesPrevious experience within financial markets, especially in trading-related rolesNote: This role is open to candidates eligible for hybrid work arrangements and able to work in the US.
