Special Education Paraprofessional

The School District of Spring Valley is seeking a full-time paraprofessional with a passion for improving student achievement and helping students meet individualized goals. Benefits include 3 paid holidays, 8 paid sick days, 3 paid personal days, Wisconsin Retirement System, options for vision, life, dental, and disability insurance, and single coverage medical insurance with the option to buy up to family coverage, $900 employer contribution to Health Savings Account if enrolled in the district’s medical insurance plan, and up to $2,000 employer match of contributions to 403(b) Retirement Savings Account. Duties include some or all of the following: Tutoring, student supervision, behavior management, special education support, personal hygiene duties, assisting students with academic and social-emotional learning, and other duties as assigned. Applicant must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and must be able to be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a paraprofessional. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to supporting the educational needs of students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other paraprofessionals.
