Mechanical Design Engineer

Clayton Services is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing industrial manufacturing organization in Southwest Houston. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing engineered products, supporting new product development initiatives, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to bring innovative solutions from concept through production.Job Type: Direct HirePay Rate: $70,000 - $100,000Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), short and long term disaibility, life insurance, PTO, holidays, and more.Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical products and assemblies utilizing 3D CAD softwareCreate engineering drawings, technical documentation, and manufacturing packagesPerform engineering calculations related to product performance, materials, tolerances, and functionalityEvaluate customer requirements and develop customized engineering solutionsSupport new product development and product enhancement initiativesCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure efficient productionAssist with testing, validation, and implementation of engineering improvementsAnalyze and resolve technical issues related to product performance and manufacturabilityParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the engineering processOther duties as assignedMechanical Design Engineer Skills and Abilities:Strong SolidWorks and 3D CAD design experienceMechanical design and product development experienceUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneouslyMechanical Design Engineer Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required3+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience using SolidWorksExperience supporting engineered products from concept through productionProduct development experience strongly preferredMechanical Design Engineer - Immediate need.
