Senior Security Content Engineer

CMK Resources is seeking a Security Content Engineer to support a large enterprise security operations environment. This position combines detection engineering, security-platform configuration, EDR policy management, control tuning, and automation.The engineer will work primarily with Microsoft Defender XDR and CrowdStrike Falcon to improve security coverage, reduce manual work, and ensure controls align with corporate security policies.ResponsibilitiesConfigure and tune Microsoft Defender XDR and CrowdStrike FalconDevelop and maintain EDR policies and security configurationsCreate and improve SIEM detections and security contentBuild or enhance SOAR workflows and security automationReview existing control coverage and identify security gapsRecommend and implement remediation to strengthen security postureTune preventive and detective controls to reduce false positivesAutomate content deployment and configuration managementSupport endpoint, email, and Microsoft 365 security controlsDocument content, configurations, deployment processes, and changesWork with security operations and engineering teams to improve consistency across platformsRequired QualificationsHands-on Microsoft Defender XDR experienceHands-on CrowdStrike Falcon experienceExperience configuring and tuning EDR policiesExperience with detection content, security controls, or platform engineeringSOAR or security-automation experienceAbility to assess control coverage and identify gapsWorking knowledge of scripting or automationStrong troubleshooting and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsKQL experiencePowerShell or Python experienceInfrastructure-as-code or configuration-management experienceMicrosoft 365 security experienceSublime Security experienceExperience automating security-content deployment
