Jetport Line Technician PT ESSENTIAL WORK FUNCTIONS Employee performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties associated with the safety, operations, maintenance and security of airport grounds, buildings, operational areas, facilities and equipment. Employees utilize a wide variety of maintenance skills for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and security of the airport. Employee must ensure that facilities and equipment are always in operational condition and in compliance with FAA safety regulations. Strong communication skills are required with pilots, corporate and business executives, the public, employees and local officials. Position is responsible for opening and closing airport at specified times, preparing reports, and assisting with billing. Work includes indoor and outside environmental conditions such as but not limited to, significant noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working in high places, operating a variety of gas and electrical tools, exposure to high heat, chemicals, oils, fumes, dusts, odors, or poor ventilation. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Airport Manager and Operations Manager. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Minimum: Must be a high school graduate. Must possess valid NC Driver’s License. Two years’ experience in general maintenance/construction or related field.
