Environmental Representative

Environmental Compliance SpecialistThis role ensures compliance with applicable environmental regulations and company policies by inspecting company locations and equipment, maintaining compliance data, drafting compliance documentation and providing guidance to employees in an assigned production area. Serves as liaison between operations and the Environmental department. The position will report to the Environmental Manager and will be based out of the Williston or New Town, ND Field office. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for effectively collaborating with environmental staff and other departments to support all compliance requirements for an assigned production area or programServes as first point of contact for assigned production area regarding environmental issues; provides guidance and coaching regarding moderately difficult issues to ensure understanding and compliance with environmental policies and regulationsConducts periodic inspections to assure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirementsCoordinates testing and monitoring of field locations and/or equipment for compliance with environmental regulations and policiesCollaborates with environmental staff and other departments to identify training needs; assists with establishing and coordinating training schedulesGathers and quantifies information regarding spills and other incidents, and complete required reporting to appropriate regulatory agenciesSupports EHS during emergency incidents and drills; participates in emergency responseMaintains environmental records; assists in project tracking, cost management and entering data into the Asset and Compliance Tracking System (ACTS) databaseParticipates in and provides support for EHS audits and incident investigationsParticipates in special environmental projects in the assigned production areaThis job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position. Selected candidates will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and duties outside of their normal responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in a related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in the environmental fieldStrong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skillsPossesses well‐rounded multimedia skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment, flexible with the demands of a growing companyAbility to meet deadlines and the ability to produce results under tight time constraintsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPossesses basic working knowledge of oil and gas exploration and production technologiesCommunicates effectively with colleagues, superiors, vendors, and regulatorsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, copier, files, telephone, and fax; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. On occasion this role will report to the field and be in the field near moving mechanical parts; and in the field, plant, drilling, and pipeline facilities in all outdoor weather conditions and must be able to handle exposure to extreme weather conditions and areas where hazardous chemicals are present.
