I&C Designer
Job Title: I&C DrafterJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Mid-Level Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Designer with a focus on developing drawings for Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and revisions to existing drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD software. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical design, with the ability to utilize CAD or BIM software effectively. Experience in the oil and gas sector or mechanical process experience is advantageous, though electrical expertise is preferred.ResponsibilitiesUtilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned drafting tasks.Assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams.Assemble typical details as required to support Instrumentation and Control drawings.Assist in the preparation of estimates and material lists with guidance from project engineers or project managers.Develop control panel elevation drawings.Assist in quality checking of drafted products to ensure conformance with drawing production standards and project-specific CAD/BIM requirements.Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications.Develop basic SCADA block diagrams.Size flow meters and make meter selections.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in engineering or a related field.Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.Experience with 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings.Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications.Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing and network cabinets.Familiarity with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Two-year technical or Associate Degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with data-driven P&ID software like CADWorx, Plant 3D, or Open Plant P&ID.Basic understanding of intelligent P&ID and PFD software applications.Working knowledge of database software.Understanding of converting data between MicroStation and AutoCAD.Basic understanding of the application of instrumentation controls.Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in our Littleton office, offering flexible work hours from 7 AM to 6 PM.
