Steel Product Manufacturing from Purchased SteelOther Fabricated Metal Product ManufacturingNonferrous Metal (except Aluminum) Production and ProcessingOther General Purpose Machinery ManufacturingNewspaper, Periodical, Book, and Directory PublishersQuality Assurance LeadKey position functions include:Work with the Quality Assurance Manager and Leadership Team to ensure compliance with Company procedures and policiesLiaise with Department Managers to ensure that process improvements are being implementedAssist with Quality Assurance Management meetingsMaintain Quality Manual and Operating Procedures that govern specific aspects of the critical-to-quality workflow process, and ensure or provide training on the process and proceduresInterface with Customers to address Quality issues and concerns for all projectsLead and assist in all required inspections of materials, sub-components, finished products, vendor buy-out items, and quality issues arising in productionOversee material and component receivables (incoming inspection) and approve MTR documentsCreate and review Non-Conformances, establish quality targets, and manage data pertaining to quality targetsReview for the approval of inspection documents, including NDE testing, as per applicable specificationsAssist with inspection equipment calibrations and all other QC-controlled items on the shop floorAssist in maintenance and approval of work order processConduct internal Quality Assurance audits. Assist in conducting external or vendor audits of machine, welding, and heat treat shops when requiredAssure the Inspection department documents are properly controlled and tracedReinforce all applicable company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsPreferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:Minimum 3+ years' experience with quality systems pertaining to the manufacturing of ValvesDetailed knowledge of industry codes and standards, including API, ANSI / ASME, DNV, and NACELeadership/supervisory experience combined with a high degree of professionalismProven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasksEffective written and oral communication skillsSkilled use of PC software tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and WordCommitment to quality and workplace health & safety above all elseOther skills and abilities: In order to perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following skills and abilities:Understands and adheres to organizational and department policy and proceduresMust be able to work in fast paced team environmentStrong Communication skills with good oral/written skills.Must be willing to get out on floor and learn the product and work to solve problems as they occur.Physical requirements: In order to perform the job successfully, an individual must be qualified to be able to perform the job.
