This role strengthens community partnerships, ensuresprogram compliance, and expands the reach and effectiveness of hunger-relief services throughout the region.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram ManagementDevelop, implement, and oversee food bank programs (pantry distributions, mobile distributions, special initiatives)Ensure programs meet community needs and food bank standardsEvaluate program effectiveness using data and partner feedbackCoordinate program schedules, logistics, and staffing in collaboration with operationsCollaboration & Community EngagementWork closely with the Operations Manager to align inventory with program needsCollaborate with leadership on strategic planning and outreachRepresent North Valley Community Food Bank at community meetings and partner eventsGather feedback to identify service gaps and opportunitiesReporting & ComplianceTrack program participation and agency activityPrepare monthly and annual program and agency reportsSupport grant reporting and documentation related to programs and partnershipsAgency Relations Leadership & SupervisionProvide direct supervision and support to the Agency Relations CoordinatorSet priorities, goals, and performance expectations for agency relations functionsEnsure consistent communication, documentation, and follow-up with partner agenciesReview and approve agency onboarding, training, compliance documentation, and ongoing support activitiesMentor and equip the Agency Relations Coordinator to build strong, collaborative relationships with partner agenciesAddress agency concerns or escalations and ensure timely resolutionCollaborate with Operations and Leadership to align agency needs with program capacityEvents & Community EngagementServe as a front-runner for key events, including community outreach events, fundraising events, and partner gatheringsCoordinate event planning logistics in collaboration with staff, volunteers, and partnersRepresent the food bank at events, meetings, and community functionsSupport event execution, on-site coordination, and follow-upCommunications & Social Media SupportAssist with basic social media content related to programs, agency partnerships, and eventsProvide photos, stories, and program updates to support community engagement and donor awarenessCoordinate with leadership to ensure messaging aligns with the mission, values, and voice of the organizationPhysical and Environmental RequirementsAbility to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer at a desk for extended periods. Be able to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and interact with a monitor.Ability to travel to events, meetings, and community functions (valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required).Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.QualificationsRequiredExperience in program management, nonprofit services, or community outreachStrong relationship-building and communication skillsExcellent organizational and follow-through abilitiesAbility to manage multiple programs and partnershipsPreferred2-3 years prior management or supervisory experience, including direct oversight of staff and/or volunteersDemonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and evaluating team members, including roles related to agency or partner relationsAbility to lead, delegate, and hold team members accountable while maintaining a collaborative, mission-driven work environmentExperience in food bank, hunger relief, or social servicesExperience working with partner agencies or coalitionsFamiliarity with food safety and compliance standardsExperience with PantrySoft or similar systems
