Job description We are a Central Florida based mobile Italian Ice business centered around Community Engagement & Organizational Fundraising. Our Italian Ice provides outstanding quality, handcrafted ingredients, and an incredible taste. Beyond serving delicious Italian ice, we provide unique fundraising opportunities for schools and universities throughout the Southern Region. We also partner with community organizations and further ingratiate ourselves into our community by offering private catering experiences and participating in local community events and festivals. We are seeking a detailed oriented person to join our team as an Italian Ice Scooper Quality Control Specialist. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality of pre-packaged Italian Ice. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain consistency, safety, and excellence in scooping, adhering to established work practice standards and guidelines. This role encompasses all things related to high volume packaging, storing and assisting with loading Italian Ice for distribution. The ideal candidate is meticulous, attentive to detail, reliable, adheres to and exceeds industry standards, and goal oriented. Required Skills and Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Food handler’s card preferred Able to work in a fast paced environment Attention to detail ensuring consistency in the product’s taste, texture, packaging, and loading Have a basic understanding of food handling and sanitation practices Capable of interacting with team members in friendly and professional matter Time management skills Key Responsibilities: · Scoop a high volume of Italian Ice for pre-packaged distribution · Perform visual inspections to ensure they meet company standards for size, shape, and presentation · Monitor the overall appearance and texture to guarantee freshness and appeal · Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including Italian Ice buckets, serving utensils, and freezers. · Follow sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety · Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and vehicle operators regarding inventory and any quality control issues · Coordinate with kitchen staff, vehicle operators and other team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours Working Conditions & physical requirements: Able to stand for extended periods of time Able to lift about 25 pounds (boxes of Italian Ice) Monday through Friday, day shift Classification: · Independent Contractor; benefits are the responsibility of the contractor Compensation: Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Shift: Day shift Ability to Relocate: Orlando, FL 32801: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
