Description: What You'll Do: As the Lead Software Engineer, you will oversee a diverse SW development team as part of the CSS team within NAVAIR’s Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program (PMA-271). Specific responsibilities may include: Conducting analyses and studies for software requirements development, engineering feasibility, system affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, vulnerability, and susceptibility Evaluating customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, and functional requirements Supporting budgeting, scheduling, and risk management of a major acquisition program Supporting software sustainment efforts to include, correction of deficiencies, flight clearances, cybersecurity Coordinating with teams and developers to ensure tasking is executed in the expected timeframe Mentoring junior developers on the team Ensuring cyber requirements are met The job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
