Job Title: Senior HCL Application Environment & Deployment ConsultantLocation: Columbus, OH - HybridJob Type: ContractExperience Required: 7+ YearsJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HCL Consultant to support our IT team in reviewing and stabilizing our current application environment. This role involves analyzing system configurations, evaluating deployment processes, performing code reviews, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer to internal teams.The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in HCL technologies, a structured problem-solving approach, and the ability to deliver actionable recommendations to enhance system stability and maintainability.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and document current application environments (Dev, Test, Prod), including configurations, integrations, and dependenciesReview and optimize deployment processes for efficiency, consistency, and reliabilityPerform code reviews to identify defects, risks, and technical debt; implement enhancements where neededTroubleshoot environment-related issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistenciesConduct knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams for long-term sustainabilityRecommend best practices for application stability, environment management, and deployment automationCollaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunitiesPrepare detailed documentation, including findings, remediation steps, and improvement plansRequired Skills & Experience7+ years of hands-on experience with HCL technologies (Volt MX / IRIS / Foundry)Strong experience in environment configuration and deployment pipeline evaluationSolid understanding of application architecture, integrations, and system dependenciesProven experience in code review and application optimizationStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment frameworksPrior consulting or contractor experience in application modernization or remediation projectsFamiliarity with enterprise application lifecycle management best practicesEducationBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fieldWhy Join UsOpportunity to work on critical application stabilization and modernization initiativesCollaborative and dynamic work environmentHigh-impact role with visibility across technical and business teamsInterested candidates can apply with their updated resume.
