HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST
Human Resources SpecialistAs a Human Resources Specialist, has responsibility for planning, developing and carrying out duties related to recruitment and staffing, career development, position management, employee management relations, resource management, and/or education and training for the AF ISR Agency and serviced organizations.
Manages one or more HR programs: and advises management and employees on legal, regulatory, and/or procedural requirements for issues such as, but not limited to: application of merit systems principles to attract, develop, manage, and retain a high quality and diverse workforce; DCIPS and/or NSPS pay for performance and pay pool management; workforce shaping initiatives to support efficient, effective, and economical use of human resources to meet mission requirements; resource management issues related to work year execution, cost management, civilian resources projections, planning for vacancies and organizational changes, and setting of local pay policies; performance management and recognitions programs; employee development and training; and/or facilitating the delivery of HR services from Air Force Personnel Center and Air Force Manpower Agency.
Leads, plans, and/or participates in special projects and studies. Provides technical and policy direction to less experienced HR specialists performing related work.
