Lead Massage Therapist Responsibilities and Job DescriptionWe are looking for experienced massage therapists who are interested in expanding their massage career into a leadership role. The right therapist for this role is incredibly passionate about massage and the benefits, as well as a desire to help another therapist continue to grow and thrive in their skills and craft. As part of the leadership team, you will work to support the team of therapists to provide mind-blowing service and build authentic connections within the clients that come in the door. Your primary duties would be to support the team of massage therapist, oversee and manage the schedule, vacation time and participate with the location director in the hiring, training and onboarding of new therapists.This role is full time, with a combination of 3 massage shifts per week and +varied hours administrative time dedicated to team support and leadership responsibilities.Role and ResponsibilitiesMassage Therapist expectationMaintain 3 massage therapy shifts per weekSupport the location:Event coordinating, set up, & participationStaff scheduling and Lead at eventsLeadership DutiesAssist with Manager on Duty coverage for your locationAssist with overseeing schedule coverage/needs and potential call outsWork with the concierge team and therapist to maximize the schedule potential.Posting available shifts to the IC/Associate Band groupContribute to Mind-Blowing Service ExcellenceEnsuring a great guest experience and supporting your team of therapists in providing this.Assist Location leadership to increase client satisfaction. This includes following up with guest complaints, performing corrective services, assisting with coverage and guidance of therapists to improve customer experience.Service and Sales GoalsWorking with the leadership team to meet goals for client and therapist retention for the locationWork with therapist individually to support their personal client loyalty/retention. This may be in the way of additional coaching, training, and goal setting.Training and Development of therapistWorking directly with therapist to give them the tools and training needed tobe successful. (Full schedules and having fun)To be support and motivation to the therapistDirecting therapists with marketing efforts and events to meet expectations.Holding massage therapist accountable for their job, and in conjunction with the location director seek resolution necessary.Ensure training with complimentary add ons meets company standardsOne on one meetings to support Assistant & Location DirectorHiring and Orientation ProcessSupport the location director in hiring, onboarding and training of new therapist.Location CultureSupport the location culture by leading by exampleBe an ambassador of fun and collaboration. This could be in team events or outings.Coordinating smooth operational flow with the office managerCompensation and BenefitsCompensation while performing massage therapy duties is a base hourly wage of $12 + 20+% commission based on experience/performance + gratuities (Average per service compensation $32-$41 Not including Gratuities).
