Materials Coordinator

Material CoordinatorKaman Measuring & Memory is seeking a Material Coordinator who is responsible for maintaining inventory assets, including transactions, physical locations, and cycle counts, across the production floor and warehouse to support Measuring and Memory production requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between logistics, production, planning, receiving inspection, engineering, procurement, quality, and operations to ensure the accurate movement and availability of materials. The Material Coordinator obtains and tracks information from status reports, production priorities, purchasing, pick lists, and job orders to coordinate both the electronic and physical movement of materials. This position provides guidance to production and quality personnel regarding material processing and status, reports shortages to planning, and helps identify and resolve material flow issues. The role also involves identifying problem areas, communicating issues to supervisors, recommending improvements, and taking corrective action when necessary. Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate documentation for all incoming and outgoing warehouse material transactions Move materials into the warehouse and between locations as needed Transfer materials between MRB and the bond room to support production requirements Maintain organization and cleanliness of the bond room and warehouse areas Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts as required Pull materials identified on pick lists using the ERP system Deliver materials to designated production locations Reconcile work order material issues and discrepancies Ensure all materials are properly labeled and identified Monitor inventory expiration dates and remove expired materials as required Provide backup support for Shipping and Receiving functions Maintain workflow while adapting to changing business needs and priorities Communicate material status and updates to appropriate personnel Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety, health, and environmental procedures and regulations Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
